Some sessions aren’t about the date on the calendar; they’re about how you want to be celebrated. Jo and Maureen came in to spend a day together and cherish Maureen’s 90th birthday, patiently waiting through sickness, sore backs, and travel until the time was perfect.

After the losing her sister and father, of Jo creating portraits of just the two of them felt especially important. Not to mark a milestone, but to honour who they are, together; their strength, their closeness, and the love that bonds them.

They were a joy to photograph and their sense of style made it even more fun. Every piece carried a story of time spent together; shopping trips, memories of where something was found, who they were with, and the delight of a great deal. Thank you, Jo and Maureen, for choosing us to create the images you’ll hold onto for life. It was truly an honour to capture you as you are, and as you’ll always be.
