Marine, Marie-Pierre & Jean-Francios
Sometimes you know how much time you have left, and sometimes every moment feels too precious to measure. Marine was gifted a voucher for a photo shoot with us for Christmas from a close and dear friend, a session to spend with her little daughter (not shown for privacy) and her parents, who had travelled all the way from France. It was a chance to capture priceless memories, to share in a moment of joy, closeness, and love, while they still can.
With aging parents and ill health, knowing this might be their last visit, (and dad possibly being unable to make the 40-hour journey from their home to Whangārei again) every smile, every hug, every kiss became something to treasure. And with Marine’s style being natural, coastal, moody, and emotion-driven, the incredible Fran (our apprentice photographer) was hands down the perfect choice to bring out their personalities. Meanwhile, I had the joy of assisting and capturing some heart-warming behind-the-scenes video.
We absolutely love, and I mean wholeheartedly love, capturing adult families. To see grown children feel the love they knew as children, to watch grandparents smile with pride at their grandchildren, and to know these images will be treasured for generations to come… that is our gift, and it is our pleasure.
