THE McArthur family

Some photo sessions simply feel like a warm hug – and the gorgeous McArthur family were exactly that. We spent the morning at our current favourite spot capturing cuddles, big smiles, Spider-Man poses, tickle fights, bursts of laughter and running races across the grass.

Their outfit choices were perfect for the sunny morning, and thanks to the magic of photography, no one would ever guess the wind made it just a little chilly. When I’m working with children, I always allow extra time; time for breaks, time to burn off energy, and even space if the interaction becomes a little overwhelming. The best images happen when little ones feel free to be themselves.

But for little Mr R, he took it all in his stride. He showed Daddy how to smile, Mummy how to look like a superhero, and we were finished in record time. Thank you McArthurs for choosing me to capture your beautiful family. I truly can’t wait to share the rest of your images with you.
