Sana

Last week this beautiful, strong woman, Sana, was in the studio for her own 12 Women Project session. An incredible lady with a heart of gold, she has the resilience of someone who has faced some of life's toughest challenges and still chooses to meet the world with kindness, a smile and an open heart.

Over the past few years, Sana has navigated life while continuing to show up for others. A career dedicated to supporting people through trauma, a new leadership role, and the courage to step into unfamiliar territory, including exhibiting one of her amazing paintings for the very first time. She is a woman who continues to grow, challenge herself and discover new possibilities.

I think she is amazing for her courage to take on enormous challenges, lead others, try something new and navigate life's hard moments. And what stood out most when photographing her, was her desire to show her daughter that it's never too late to try new things, to be brave, and to embrace the unique person you are.

Sana, it was a pleasure to work with you. Your strength, warmth and willingness to keep growing are a reminder that courage isn't about having everything figured out. Sometimes, it's simply about taking that next step, even when it feels uncomfortable.
