Awards & Media

Winner of the Micro Business Category & Finalist in Creative Industries at the Westpac & the Northland Chamber of Commerce, Northland Business Excellence Awards 2017.

Northland's premier business awards, held annually over 14 categories. Sarahlee Studio came out on top for all businesses of 3 staff or less for the whole Northern region. Something we are very proud of and will continue in future years.

The Judges Comments:
"We were impressed by Sarahlee's clear understanding of where her studio is positioned in the market and her awareness of national and international trends. There was evidence of robust information management with data collected, monitored, analysed and then applied in decision making and business planning. The owner has developed her personal and professional skills with formal and informal mentoring and understands the importance of working with the wider community. This is a clear example of a business that has entered the Awards before, taken feedback on board and grown more than the previous judges could have foreseen."

NZIPP Accredited Professional Photographer

Through a demanding Accreditation process, Sarahlee gained professional recognition in the form of becoming an NZIPP Accredited Professional Photographer. This, in addition to the stringent membership criteria and Code of Ethics ensures that members are professional in both their creative and business practices.
